Colonel Albert E. Runyan entered Aviation Cadets in August of 1949 and was
commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in February of 1951. He flew 100 combat
missions in the Korean War and returned to the United States in March of
1952. He then served two tours in Europe as a Reconnaissance Pilot.

Colonel Runyan received his degree from the University of Omaha in 1965
where he majored in Business Administration. He went to Vietnam in January
1966 and was shot down on the 29th of April 1966. He was released on the
12th of February 1973.

Colonel Runyan's wife, Terry, and his four children reside in Albuquerque,
New Mexico. Damon, 20, is a Junior at New Mexico State University at Las
Cruces, New Mexico. Patricia, 18, is a Freshman at the University of New
Mexico in Albuquerque. Coreen, 14, is a ninth grader, and little Scotty, 9,
is a third grader. Colonel Runyan plans to retire from the Air Force in the
Spring of 1974 and remain in Albuquerque.

Albert Runyan retired from the United States Air Force as a Colonel. He and
lives in New Mexico.
